For nearly 40 years, Fundación Casa de Colombia has been helping children in some of the most vulnerable communities in Colombia to receive the healthcare and support they need to thrive. Based in the city of Cali, Colombia, the organization works with families who often struggle to access specialized medical treatment, educational resources, and nutritional assistance.

This foundation is unique due to their Pediatric Orthopedics Events where underserved children who have medical problems receive surgery and treatment for their conditions. The most common include clubfoot, genu varum, hip dysplasia, syndactyly, polydactyly, myelomeningocele, arthrogryposis, and deformities. This is possible due to their partnership with Silver Service Children's Foundation where doctors from the Chicago area in the United States travel to Colombia in the mission to help these children. 

The nonprofit also follows a child throughout their journey. When a family reaches out for help, the organization works to understand their situation, connect them with medical specialists, and continue supporting them throughout treatment and recovery. Many children arrive with conditions that have gone untreated for years simply because their families could not afford the necessary care.

Through partnerships with hospitals, doctors, volunteers, and international medical teams, the foundation has transformed the lives of thousands of children. Young patients have received surgeries that restored their ability to walk, vision treatments, and specialized care that provides them opportunities for healthier futures.
